ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Matrix Design Group is seeking an EE or CompE design engineer who is passionate about developing intelligent electronic safety products. This team member would be responsible for research, circuit design, schematic creation, board layout, and testing of new products. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on multiple underground mining safety products ranging from handheld digital voice radios to environmental sensors. Applicant must be a self-starter with excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to work alone or in a small team. Software and FPGA development skills would also be highly beneficial.
Qualifications / Skills
- BS in EE or CompE
- 4+ years of experience
- Low power digital design
- Embedded system design
- Hardware debugging and board bring up
- Portable battery powered device design
- Altium Designer
Beneficial Experience
- Intrinsically safe electronics
- Low power wireless digital communications transceivers and antennas
- AVR, ARM9/11, or Cortext-A8 cores
- Simulation and validation of high-speed PCB layouts
- Power supplies
- Analog sensor interfacing
- Verilog or VHDL development
- C/C++ programing
- Technical Writing
